An email message from Wisconsin DNR Conservation Biologist Andrew Badje:
Dear WDNR Biologists (Florence/Forest Counties),
I’m the Wisconsin Frog and Toad Survey Coordinator and am in the process of beginning to fill the vacant frog and toad routes across the state for the 2015 season. I feel the best way to reach out to volunteers in your area is through reaching out to local biologists such as yourselves that serve counties near open routes (in addition to social media and news releases). I’m also quite sure you all come across many people looking for something to do in the spring and summer, and this is an option that I feel may peak some of their interests.
If any of you happen to know people who express or have expressed interest in the past, please pass along the local route maps (linked below) to them and have them contact either myself directly or email if interested. That way I can answer their questions and/or get them set up prior to the survey season beginning.
Thank you in advance and I wish you all well in your 2015 field seasons!
