The theme for the 2026 Conservation Poster Contest this year was “Soil, where it all begins”. The poster contest was open to kindergarten through 12th grade students, and posters were evaluated on the following criteria: conservation message, visual effectiveness, originality, universal appeal, and individual artwork. The students that took 1st Place at the local level advanced to the area contest that was hosted in Vilas County this year. The 1st place winners that advanced to the area contest were Irene Ehlinger (grades 2-3), Emery Niggeling (grades 4-6), Natiyah LaBarge (grades 7-9), and Kaylee Kegley (grades 10-12)! Congratulations to all!
