Each summer the Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association hosts two conservation camps for Wisconsin students. There is a middle school camp and a high school camp. The middle school camp is being held at Camp Lakotah in Wautoma and this year it takes place Sunday, June 28th- Wednesday July 1st, 2026. It is for students who will be entering grades 6-8 in the upcoming school year. The high school camp is being held at the North Lakeland Discovery Center in Manitowish Waters, and takes place Monday, June 15th – Thursday June 18th, 2026. The high school camp is for students going into grades 9-12 for the upcoming school year. These camps provide positive educational outdoor experiences, foster an appreciation for nature, and introduce a variety of careers in natural resources and conservation. Professionals from various agencies present programs on topics like wildlife, habitat, water quality, fisheries, forestry, orienteering, and canoeing. These professionals, as well as adult volunteers, serve as overnight staff and group leaders for the duration of camp. Campers can make new friends, participate in hands-on activities, practice social & leadership skills, enjoy the outdoors, and just have fun! The cost for the Middle School Camp is $350 per student and the cost for the High School Camp is $450. These prices include meals, snacks, lodging, and a t-shirt. Registration closes Friday, May 15th. You can register online at wisconsinlandwater.org/camps
