On January 20, 2026, the Mole Lake Sokaogon Chippewa awarded a $1000 grant to the Forest County Association of Lakes (FCAL) to use toward supporting its mission of promoting education of and protection of Forest County waters and environs.
FCAL supports its mission through events, such as, the Forest County High School Environment Field Trip held annually on Lake Metonga, the annual 5th and 6th grade essay context, building and providing county lakes with monofilament fishing line receptacles, the annual Fall Forum for sharing issues related to Forest County lakes, the annual newsletter, and providing information at the Kentuck Day booth.
