Forest County Snowmobile Trails

SNOWMOBILE TRAILS:

Open

The trails are in good conditions but as always watch your speed and stay to the right. Clubs have all been out grooming and removing branches that may have fallen with the recent storm. There may be ruts, sticks and rocks sticking up still in select areas so ride with caution always. Off trail riding is trespassing and could result in closure or loss of trails and fines for those who violate.

The Forest County Snowmobile Clubs, (100 Mile Snow Safari, Black Bear Sportsman’s Club, Lumberjack Memorial Trails, Three Lakes Trails, and Tombstone – Pickerel Snowmobile Club) along with sponsors have put in many volunteer hours of brushing, signing, and trail work to confirm a safe opening of the snowmobile trails.

Please remember that the Nicolet State Trail, the Wolf River State Trail, and the Valley Trail are the ONLY snowmobile trails in Forest County that are currently open for ATV and UTV use. The Forest County Snowmobile Trail Ordinance currently prohibits ATV, UTV use and motor vehicle use on all other snowmobile trails in Forest County. Snowmobile trails are “NOT” open for motor vehicle use or hunting. THOSE DRIVING TRUCKS ON TRAILS ARE SUBJECT TO FINES THROUGH THE COUNTY SNOWMOBILE TRAIL ORDINANCE.

Updated trail condition reports can be found daily by calling the Forest County Snowline at 715-478-2024 or logging onto the Forest County website at www.forestcountywi.com . This website also provides links to local snowmobile clubs which provide daily grooming reports and maps of the Forest County trail system.
